Alisha

Talking to an ally is never supposed to be a substitute for therapy or medical advice.

Wife, mother sister and friend. I was born and raised in Florida by a single mother who always put others first. She taught me among many things, compassion and caring for others but I also learned that women need to take back their individuality and prioritize it, something my mother had a hard time doing.

Losing her was my biggest struggle, but it left me with a mission to help others to love themselves first.

I have also managed to raised two wonderful young adults that are kind and compassionate human beings.  Being a mother tested all of my limits and pushed me to grow up. They are my teachers everyday as I am forced to raise up to to their challenges and triumphs.

I believe women have figured out how to do everything alone, but that's a concept that needs to be reformulated.

Learning to ask for help, learning to let each person carry their own-weight , even your kids. Letting people work through their obstacles, they are all acts of love.

Working through guilt for not being everything for everyone and learning to say no is what I have learned and will be happy to share with you. Thank you for allowing me to be your confidant and ally.
